Edinburgh - National Scottish Gallery

A visit to Stirling allowed a whistle-stop one night in Edinburgh, we arrived late and had to leave early, leaving just enough time for dinner and the next morning a walk along Princes Street, Rose Street, and the Mound.
THE MOUND

The National Scottish Gallery was lovely, but the 45 minutes wasn't enough!

Apart from rule that prohibits wearing a rucksack - I could have spent all day there.

There was a painting Christ Blessing by El Greco that really reminded me of the recently restored Leonardo Dr Vinci Salvator Mundi that sold for $450,300,000 at auction.

WOJTEK THE SOLDIER BEAR

I have a Polish friend who is called Wojtek after the soldier bear.  I didn't realise that Wojtek retired to Edinburgh Zoo until I saw this lovely statue in his honour.
